Craigieburn native forest in New Zealand

Grab yourself a slice of off-piste freedom.

In the heart of the Southern Alps, a beautiful 90 minute drive from Christchurch, lies the famous Craigieburn Valley (CV) Ski Field.

Offering up the finest steeps, chutes and powder bowl skiing you’ll ever find in New Zealand, Craigieburn is an alpine experience like no other.

Here, you’ll find the friendliest club atmosphere anywhere. When people who love skiing and riding get together, great things happen, and good people have been at the heart of Craigieburn since the club was established in 1954. Visitors are welcome all season – but we know you’ll want to stay!

Is Craigieburn for me?

Here at Craigieburn, the ups are good, the downs are even better, and everyone is welcome. We recommend that first timers are confident skiing chairlift blue runs, and that you bring a little attitude to use as you learn the ins and outs of rope tows.

Groomed only by Mother Nature, Craigieburn has some of New Zealand's most challenging patrolled terrain.

If you are an advanced or expert rider then skiing The Big One at Craigieburn is your holy grail!
